Hybrid renewable solutions are becoming a defining force in Germany’s energy landscape, with SUNOTEC contributing to this important transformation.

Developed by Statkraft, Europe’s leading renewable energy producer, the Hybrid Power Plant Zerbst represents a major milestone in Germany’s energy landscape as the country’s largest co-located PV and battery storage installation under the EEG framework and a benchmark for next-generation, grid-supportive renewable infrastructure.

Built on a 41-hectare former gravel pit, the site has a total capacity of 46.4 MWp of solar and 57 MWh of battery storage, enabling clean electricity generation and flexible dispatch when the grid needs it most.

This project embodies SUNOTEC’s integrated, beyond-EPC approach, combining in-house engineering, manufacturing, construction, and long-term operations into one seamless delivery chain.
