SUNOTEC in Bulgaria

Sofia is the beating heart of SUNOTEC and the central hub for all operations in Southeastern Europe. More than 350 employees are based here, covering all functions from engineering and project management to administration and senior leadership. The headquarters also houses our state-of-the-art monitoring room, where solar power plants from across the globe are tracked in real time to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.

SUNOTEC’s operations in Bulgaria have established the company as a clear market leader. In 2023, SUNOTEC became the largest Bulgarian company in photovoltaic plant construction by revenue, and in 2025 we emerged as the country’s largest developer and operator of battery energy storage systems (BESS), further strengthening our role in Bulgaria’s energy transition.

In September 2025, SUNOTEC will move its Bulgarian headquarters into a new six-floor office building with capacity for up to 500 employees. This modern facility is one of SUNOTEC’s own development projects, symbolising not only our growth but also our long-term commitment to the region.
