Our partnerships
Joint forces for a brighter future
Through the strategic joint ventures SECURSUN in Germany and SOLARIS in Bulgaria, SUNOTEC combines engineering excellence with strong local partnerships.
SOLARIS
Powering Bulgaria’s Renewable Future
SOLARIS Holding AD is a joint venture between SUNOTEC and the main shareholders of Eurohold Bulgaria AD, a diversified energy and finance group with a strong presence across the Balkans, created to accelerate Bulgaria’s transition to clean, reliable energy. Together, we combine technical excellence, financial strength, and a shared vision for a sustainable energy future.
By combining SUNOTEC’s engineering and turnkey expertise with Eurohold’s strong financial and energy-sector footprint, SOLARIS develops large-scale hybrid solar and battery storage projects that deliver both sustainability and stability to the national grid.

Strength in Partnership
Together, SOLARIS is rethinking how energy is produced and stored in Southeast Europe. SOLARIS turns underused land into high-performing renewable assets, integrating advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS) to balance production and demand, and attract sustainable, long-term investment into Bulgaria’s energy future.
Flagship Projects
Hybrid Park Pernik
- 32 MWp PV + 61 MWh BESS
- Operational since September 2024
- Built on a reclaimed industrial landfill near Pernik, this pioneering project shows how innovation can turn waste sites into sources of clean power.

Selanovtsi / Oryahovo Hybrid Park
- 59.8 MW PV + 107.3 MWh BESS
- Commissioned June 2025
- One of Bulgaria’s largest hybrid renewable plants, storing midday solar output and releasing it when demand peaks, boosting grid resilience and energy security.
Expanding the Energy Storage Frontier
In September 2025, SUNOTEC achieved a major milestone, securing financing for a new wave of seven renewable energy projects in Bulgaria, 5 of which owned by SOLARIS, including one co-located solar-plus-storage system and four standalone BESS projects.
Together, the projects represent 115 MWp of solar capacity and an impressive 763 MWh of battery storage. This achievement positions SOLARIS and SUNOTEC among Bulgaria’s leading investors in large-scale solar and energy storage infrastructure.
Several of these BESS projects have also been approved by the Bulgarian Ministry of Energy to receive support under the national RESTORE subsidy program, reinforcing the joint venture’s role in advancing the country’s clean energy goals.

SECURSUN
Collaboration shaping the energy of tomorrow in Germany
SECURSUN GmbH is a joint venture between SUNOTEC and securenergy solutions AG, a leading German developer with deep experience in project planning, permitting, and grid integration, created to accelerate the rollout of large-scale solar energy projects across Germany.
By combining securenergy’s development and permitting expertise with SUNOTEC’s world-class integrated solutions model and technological capabilities, SECURSUN is delivering one of the country’s most ambitious renewable portfolios, over 2.4 GWh of solar capacity by 2027. Together, SECURSUN is setting new benchmarks in speed, precision, and reliability for the German energy transition.
Case Study: Solarpark Frankenförde
From Vision to Grid in Record Time
Location: Frankenförde, Gemeinde Nuthe-Urstromtal, Brandenburg
Capacity: 40.81 MWp
Construction: Began January 2025
Grid connection: July 2025
The Frankenförde PV Park stands as proof of what’s possible when technical precision, project persistence, and shared vision come together. After five years of intensive planning and approvals, construction of the Frankenförde PV Park began in early 2025. Covering 39 hectares and equipped with SUNOTEC’s high-performance mounting systems, the plant stands as a model of efficient, high-quality solar construction in Germany.
